The Pitchfork Ranch is 100% low-fenced with no protein feeders. All rifle trophy deer hunts are spot-and-stalk. This is a real hunting adventure. All quail and other game birds are 100% wild. No pen-raised critters here!!!!
Quail numbers down from last year but hunting has improved since Thanksgiving. Buck antlers seem to be down from last year. Stressful winter of 07-08 contributed to less antler development than normal. Nearly all mature bucks have broken tines or main beams.
